All documents in the archive structure can be displayed but as soon as I attempt to open one I receive a message informing me that it is not possible and that the correct BASIS path has to be set.


The usual cause of this problem is an alteration of the BASIS path so that, for example, after a change of server, the drive names or the path are no longer valid. The document path is not automatically altered – the document paths are configured variably and are not permanently connected to the database. The path mentioned in the message should be compared with the path entered under the System Settings – Document Path options. Is the path entered as the BASIS path the actual path where the documents are stored? If not the path should be corrected by highlighting the BASIS path and clicking on Edit/Change/Modify. And if necessary, after making a complete backup, recreate the ECD file
